Hobson Prior is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our team. This role focuses on conducting a variety of tests on biomaterials, ensuring quality control, operating laboratory equipment, and maintaining detailed documentation. The ideal candidate will have a background in chemistry, biomaterials, or a related field and be proficient in German or Swiss/German.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of tests on biomaterials, including Dye Leak testing, Seal Strength testing, Residual Humidity testing, Polymer Viscosity testing, and 4-Point Bending tests on absorbable Plates.
• Ensure all testing procedures are carried out accurately and in compliance with relevant standards. Report any deviations or anomalies promptly.
• Operate laboratory equipment and instrumentation for testing purposes. Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of test procedures, results, and any other relevant information. Generate comprehensive test reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biomaterials, Materials, or a related field.
• Experience in a controlled chemistry, biochemistry/biology laboratory is preferred. However, fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in German or Swiss/German.
• Availability to work in Oberdorf four days a week.
